UC Faculty, Staff Encouraged to Attend UC's Inaugural Tableau Showcase

Do you struggle with how to shape your data into a story that others can understand? Maybe you need help creating spreadsheets and databases that are easy to read and comprehend?

If so, the UC Tableau Showcase is for you.

UC's inaugural Tableau Showcase will provide an overview of 

Tableau

, UC's data analytics and visualization software,  and teach members of the UC community how it can be used.

WHEN: Wednesday, Nov. 1 from 2-5 p.m.

WHERE: Teachers-Dyer Complex, Room 160

Agenda:

  • Tableau Topic Talk by Jeffery A. Shaffer, Tableau expert and adjunct professor at UC.
  • Tableau breakout stations: See UC data in action via Tableau users from throughout the university. Attendees rotate stations every 10-15 minutes.

University of Cincinnati college is piloting a program to serve alumni of foster and kinship care

In 2025 the Ohio Reach Postsecondary designation was awarded to UC's College of Education, Criminal Justice, Human Services, and Information Technology (CECH) as part of the program's third cohort. The program recognizes and supports higher education institutions that have worked to make their campuses welcoming and accessible for students with a history in foster or kinship care. CECH will run a pilot program called Anchor Point aimed at wide-scale implementation across the campus in Fall 2026.
