Lindner No. 1 in Alumni Satisfaction in the 2017 Bloomberg Businessweek Best Business Schools Ranking

The MBA program at the University of Cincinnati’s Lindner College of Business climbed two ranking spots to No. 68 overall and No. 34 among public MBAs in the recently released

Best Business Schools Ranking. The new ranking continues Lindner’s standing as the only ranked MBA program in the Tristate, and the second highest ranked program in Ohio.

Most impressively, the Lindner MBA demonstrated continued success in the area of alumni satisfaction.  Based on alumni responses, the Lindner MBA program ranked No. 1 overall in Ohio, and, among public institutions, No. 1 in the Midwest and sixth nationally.

David Szymanski, dean of the Lindner College of Business, said he’s extremely proud of Lindner’s continued rise in MBA rankings.

“The rise is a testament to the exceptional leadership of the program, our dedicated faculty and our outstanding students,” he said. “The program is built on the shoulders of the students who have graduated and who continue to excel in the marketplace. Their phenomenal career trajectories are attributable partly to their experiences while MBA students here, experiences which they uniformly proclaim as among the most satisfying in the nation.”

The alumni satisfaction numbers are incredibly powerful, said professor Roseann Hassey, the MBA program director.

“This is the most meaningful measure of how we are doing as a program and in transforming the lives of our students – here at Lindner, when they graduate and throughout their careers,” Hassey said. “This significant ranking reveals that our graduates are achieving the professional goals that led them to earn their Lindner MBA, both in their career-satisfaction and financially.”

The Bloomberg Businessweek ranking methodology is based on the results of satisfaction surveys distributed to MBA alumni and students.  Responses from alumni who graduated between 2009 and 2011 contribute to the alumni-satisfaction metric, which is based on the increase in median compensation before receiving an MBA degree to the present, job satisfaction and feedback on the MBA program as well as its impact on their careers. The overall ranking methodology further includes feedback from the nation’s top MBA recruiters as well as job placement rates and starting salaries for graduates.
