CCM welcomes Rachel Roberts as Associate Dean of Strategy and Operations

UC College-Conservatory of Music Dean Pete Jutras has announced the appointment of Rachel Roberts, EdD, as CCM's inaugural Associate Dean of Strategy and Operations. In this newly-created role, Roberts will partner with Dean Jutras and other college leaders to advance strategic, operational and academic priorities. Roberts is nationally recognized for developing leaders and advancing how musicians and arts organizations learn, adapt and lead in an evolving arts landscape. Her appointment officially begins on July 6, 2026.

Western & Southern and UC expand scholarship and co-op support

This April, UC faculty and Western & Southern leadership celebrated 10 students as part of the Western & Southern Scholars Program. The scholarship program is a fund launched in 2024 alongside the Western & Southern Accelerated Career Program. The 10 Western & Southern Scholars were selected for their exceptional involvement and impact. These students exemplify the highest standards of academic engagement, having completed meaningful co op experiences and actively contributed to UC’s extracurricular community. Together, these students demonstrate strong leadership, initiative and a commitment to excellence.

UC and the future of fashion

Right after the University of Cincinnati’s commencement, graduating fashion design students presented a culmination of their student experience: A runway collection uniquely tailored to each artist’s vision. The 43 graduating fashion design students of UC's College of Design, Architecture, Art, and Planning (DAAP) presented nearly 200 creations from graduating seniors that ranged from ready-to-wear knits to avant-garde corsetry in the 73rd annual DAAP fashion show, DAAPFASH26.
