Michele Todd Ralston, Senior Director of Communications, provides leadership in strategic and executive communication to senior university administrators, and college and office communicators. Ralston oversees the Office of the Provost’s digital communications and web, and is responsible for university-wide internal communication initiatives including integrated communication strategies to promote the university’s mission, vision and goals.

Prior to joining the Office of the Provost in May of 2017, Ralston led crisis communication, strategic communication and media relations for the university’s Office of Safety and Reform, Department of Public Safety and UC Police. 

Ralston has served as a communication and marketing professional for more than 20 years with experience in higher education, healthcare and municipal government. She began her career in radio and television, most notably as a public radio news reporter, earning a string of awards from the Associated Press, including Best Reporter. Ralston earned a bachelor’s degree in English from John Carroll University, and a master’s degree in mass communication from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio.
