Clinical Specialization Coordinator|Senior Staff Social Worker

Danielle Drake (she/her) is a Senior Staff Social Worker at CAPS Calhoun, where she serves on the Clinical Care Management Team and as liaison to the Dean of Students office. She is a Licensed Independent Social Worker with Supervision Designation (LISW-S) in Ohio and a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Kentucky. She is also a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP).

Danielle has nearly 20 years of experience in high-intensity settings, including psychiatric and medical social work in a Level I trauma center emergency department, as well as child protective services, family court, and juvenile drug court. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice, with a focus in Sociology, and her Master of Social Work from Northern Kentucky University.

Danielle offers trauma-informed, solution-focused support to students in crisis, guided by cultural humility. Drawing on motivational interviewing, she helps them clarify goals, reclaim their voice, and build on their own resilience. She also helps students navigate campus and community systems to get the support they need. Danielle is known for her calm presence and her ability to create safety and clarity in difficult moments.
