Calling all artists: We need you for our holiday card design contest

Calling all artists: Feeling festive this fall? ‘Tis the season for showing off your best Holiday card artwork to the UC Community. We are excited to announce the 2018 Holiday Card Design Contest. UC students, faculty, staff and alumni are invited to participate. We are seeking original artwork or photography to be featured on the UC Foundation holiday greeting card that will be sent to loyal UC supporters, donors and friends. We can hardly wait to see your holiday cheer.

Submission Specifications

Any artwork medium or photography is acceptable. Art/design image must convey the University of Cincinnati. Image must be submitted to UC Foundation Communications team as a 6”x8” high resolution (300dpi or higher) PDF. Horizontal or vertical format acceptable. The words “Happy Holidays” or “Happy New Year” may appear on the image, not mandatory.

Deadline

Entries must be submitted by Friday, October 5, 2018 at 6 p.m.

A panel of select judges will award three prizes in late October:

• First prize: $250 Visa Gift Card

First prize entry artwork will be featured on the printed UC Foundation holiday card and used/promoted on UC Foundation social media and foundation.uc.edu website.

• Second prize: $100 Visa Gift Card
• Third Prize: $50 Visa Gift Card

Contest Rules

The Holiday Card Design Contest is presented by The University of Cincinnati Foundation, and is open to all current University of Cincinnati (UC) students, faculty, staff and alumni. Three winners will be selected by a panel of judges at the UC Foundation. First prize winner artwork will be featured on the UC Foundation printed holiday card at and used/promoted on the UC Foundation social media and uc.edu/foundation website. Must submit original artwork that has never been published and does not contain profanity, trademarks, logos or copyrighted works of any kind (official University of Cincinnati marks are allowed). Winning design(s) become property of the UC Foundation and all entrants' rights to the property are assigned. Artists may display their own design(s) in a portfolio or personal collection, but may not sell or reproduce the design(s) for commercial purposes once chosen as winner(s) of the UC Foundation Holiday Card Design Contest.
