Give a gift from the heart
Hoxworth Blood Center to give sweet treats to Valentine Blood Donors
Hoxworth Blood Center, University of Cincinnati is asking blood donors to give a gift from the heart this Valentine’s Day in the form of a lifesaving blood donation.
Individuals who donate blood at one of Hoxworth’s seven Neighborhood Donor Centers on Wednesday, Feb. 13th or Thursday, Feb. 14th will receive a 4-piece box of Esther Price candies, while supplies last. All donors will also be entered to win a $500 gift card to Richter & Phillips Jewelers in Downtown Cincinnati.
“While Valentine’s Day usually brings to mind flowers, chocolates, and romantic dinners, there are hundreds of patients in area hospitals who won’t be able to celebrate this year,” said Alecia Lipton, Hoxworth spokesperson. “There is no greater gift that someone can give than the gift of life—so we’re asking the Cincinnati community to give a gift from the heart this Valentine’s Day and help a local patient in need.”
Appointments are highly encouraged, though walk-ins are welcome. Donors can schedule appointments by calling (513) 451-0910 or by scheduling online at: www.hoxworth.org.
