IT@UC will migrate UCFileSpace storage and homepages.uc.edu webhosting services to platforms supported by new and improved technology.
UCFileSpace file storage will move to Microsoft OneDrive. And, homepages.uc.edu will move to a new platform called cPanel.
The migrations begin Wednesday, Dec. 18, and will run continuously over the university’s Winter Season Days closure until the anticipated completion date of Monday, Jan. 6, 2020.
REMINDER: UCFileSpace does not support Restricted Data; therefore, no such data should reside on this system. If, however, you should have restricted data on UCFIleSpace, it cannot be migrated during this process. Please review all files and remove restricted data before the migrations begin on December 18, 2019. For a definition and list of types of restricted data, please consult the Office of Information Security Data Classification Policy.

The migration process copies your content in file storage and places it in a folder called "Imported from UCFileSpace" in your OneDrive account.
Note: Please do not move files in your "Imported from UCFileSpace" folder in OneDrive. Doing so will disrupt the process and stop your content from successfully migrating to OneDrive.Replace with your text
The migration process copies your existing homepages.uc.edu content and places it on a new server (RedHat Enterprise Linux 7.7) that runs the new cPanel platform.
URLs for sites under the homespage.uc.edu domain will remain the same.
You have the option to remove old files from file storage or homepages.uc.edu prior to December 18; however, it is not necessary to do so.
You will receive an email notice of completion from IT@UC HelpDesk (HELPDESK@ucmail.uc.edu) when all of your UCFileSpace file storage and homepages.uc.edu content finishes migrating to the new platforms.
