Hoxworth Blood Center and Cincinnati MINI partner to launch #DonateToDrive promotion
One lucky lifesaving blood or platelet donor will be awarded with a custom 2023 MINI Cooper.
Hoxworth Blood Center, University of Cincinnati and Cincinnati MINI are teaming up to award one lifesaving blood or platelet donor with a $35,000 custom MINI Cooper.
Donors will earn a chance to win when donating blood or platelets between June 1 and Sept. 16 at any Hoxworth Neighborhood Donor Center or Hoxworth blood drive. The more you donate, the more chances to win! Tax, title and license fee will be covered for a maximum car value of $35,000.
“We are so excited to partner with Cincinnati MINI to offer a unique gift opportunity for the amazing blood donors in our community,” says Jackie Marschall, Hoxworth spokesperson. “We are always looking for new and exciting ways to bring blood donors in the doors and we hope that a free custom MINI encourages the community to roll up a sleeve throughout the summer!”
“We are so excited to offer the lucky winner this very cool opportunity,” says Louis Velazquez, marketing director for Cincinnati MINI. “Custom ordering a MINI is a very rewarding experience as you are able to choose from endless customization options from exterior color, contrast roofs and mirrors, different types of stripes and design patterns/graphics on the outside to beautiful leathers and trims on the inside. A MINI is to be a reflection of your personality and individuality, so to allow someone who is making a difference for the greater good to have something that is completely made for them and no one else, is truly something special. We’re all better together and this really is a wonderful community initiative. We’re happy to be a part of it!”
According to Marschall, the summer months pose a difficult time for blood banks across the nation due to higher blood usage and low donor turnout.
