Sunday Morning Magazine highlights Klaserner pharmacy family
Siblings follow in parents' footsteps at UC's James L. Winkle College of Pharmacy
Radio show and podcast Sunday Morning Magazine recently featured the Klaserner family of parents John and Lorrie and children Ally and Adam.
Lorrie and John met during pharmacy school at the University of Cincinnati, and now Ally and Adam are current students pursuing doctor of pharmacy degrees at UC’s James L. Winkle College of Pharmacy.
"The University of Cincinnati offers a great program in a great city, so those were things that were near and dear to our hearts," John told Sunday Morning Magazine host Rodney Lear. "Their choice for a career was solely theirs. I’m happy and proud of them to be in Cincinnati at the University of Cincinnati, and I think they’re learning a ton."
Ally and Adam said seeing their parents work in the field gave them early exposure to what a career in pharmacy would look like, and they are grateful to have their parents as a resource as they progress in their studies.
