Celebrate Halloween with the CCM Philharmonia

CCM's student orchestra will perform in costume for Oct. 31 concert

Experience a tuneful take on "Trick or Treat" during CCM's Halloween concert! Bring your costumes and we'll bring the candy! 

The CCM Philharmonia student orchestra invites you to celebrate Halloween with a concert of fantastical masterpieces beginning at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 31, in Corbett Auditorium. Dress up in your "Halloween best" and join the CCM Philharmonia in costume for an evening of music that explores dreams, nightmares, fairies and magic. Tickets are on sale now through the CCM Box Office.

Under the direction of CCM faculty member Mark Gibson, this Halloween concert is led by the gifted students from CCM's orchestral conducting program. The evening includes performances of Felix Mendelssohn's overture to A Midsummer Night's Dream conducted by Carlos Avendaño-Garcia, selections from Engelbert Humperdinck's opera Hansel and Gretel conducted by Alfonso Keller-Casielles, Modest Mussorgsky's Night on Bald Mountain conducted by Yuval Barak, Camille Saint-Saëns' Danse Macabre conducted by Sandra Cepero Alvarez and "Dream of the Night of the Sabbath" from Hector Berlioz's Symphonie Fantastique conducted by Moyue Zhou.

The performance of "Song of the Sandman," "Evening Prayer" and "Dream Pantomime" from Humperdinck's Hansel and Gretel features student singers Eric Riedel as Sandman, Shir Ordo as Hansel and Alea Mauriello-Vernon as Gretel. Saint-Saëns's Danse Macabre features student soloist Hyunwoo Park, violin.

Parking is available in UC's CCM Garage (located at the base of Corry Boulevard off Jefferson Avenue) and additional garages throughout the UC campus. Effective July 1, 2023, all University of Cincinnati Parking Services locations are cashless. Pay for parking securely with your credit/debit card. All major credit cards accepted.

CCM OnStage patrons can add pre-paid parking to their checkout carts when purchasing tickets. Pre-paid parking is date/performance specific. CCM Garage parking rates for a performance or special event is usually available for $10-15. Learn more about parking at UC's CCM Garage.
