UC hosts Veterans Day Ceremony and Resource Fair Nov. 8
The public is invited to attend UC’s annual Veterans Day Ceremony, with a resource fair to follow
The University of Cincinnati’s annual Veterans Day Ceremony and Resource Fair will take place Friday, Nov. 8, beginning at 10 a.m. in the Tangeman University Center (TUC) atrium.
This year’s guest speaker will be Shawn Seguin, alumni manager for the Wounded Warrior Project, who served 14 years in the United States Marines and is a Purple Heart recipient for wounds sustained in action while serving in Afghanistan during Operation Enduring Freedom.
The resource fair will take place immediately following the ceremony, from approximately 10:45 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., in TUC 400.
Representatives from the Veterans Administration (VA), Wounded Warrior Project, The VETS Center, Hamilton County Veterans Servies Commission, UC Human Resources, PRIMERICA, and American Legion Post 484 will be on hand to assist with benefits, financial, and employment opportunities.
Veterans Day is a U.S. federal holiday — on Monday, Nov. 11 — to honor military veterans of all wars.
The ceremony and resource fair are open to all veterans and the general public.
Refreshments will be served.
