Dylan Mulvaney makes Broadway debut as Anne Boleyn in "Six"

The CCM alumna returns to her musical theatre roots in royal style

Dylan Mulvaney (BFA Musical Theater, 19’), a graduate of the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music, reached a major milestone in her performing career with her Broadway debut in the hit musical Six, currently on stage at the Lena Horne Theatre in New York City. Mulvaney plays Anne Boleyn, one of the six queens at the center of the pop-infused reimagining of King Henry VIII’s wives.

Following the performance, Mulvaney described the evening as the “best night of my entire life,” sharing moments from the milestone on social media. Her Broadway debut builds on a growing list of professional accomplishments since earning her BFA at CCM in 2019, marking an exciting return to her musical theatre roots.

Shortly after graduation, Mulvaney performed as Elder White in the national tour of The Book of Mormon, traveling with the production for 9 months until the COVID pandemic shuttered theaters world wide. Mulvaney then co-hosted CCM's "School, Stage and Screen" podcast with Media Production alumnus Brian J. Leitten (BFA E-Media, ’02) in 2020-21. Mulvaney and Leitten interviewed several CCM alumni on the podcast, focusing on their journies and careers in the performing and media arts industries.

In March of 2022, Mulvaney started her wildly popular TikTok series “Days of Girlhood,” which has amassed over one billion views. A year later, Mulvaney made her New York Rainbow Room debut in Dylan Mulvaney’s Day 365 Live!, a cabaret-style variety show celebration that was lauded by industry giants such as Playbill and Variety. All proceeds from the event’s livestream tickets were donated to The Trevor Project. In 2023, Mulvaney was invited to the White House for NowThis News' Presidential Forum with Joe Biden, walked in her first show at New York fashion week and made her Grammys red carpet debut.

After achiveing viral recognition in her "Days of Girlhood" series, Mulvaney returned to New York stage in her off Broadway production, The Least Problematic Woman in the World, a one woman show about girlhood, fame and self-discovery. Now making her debut as Anne Boleyn in Six, Mulvaney joins the ranks of fellow CCM alumni performing on Broadway.

Ranked as one of the top star-producing institutions in the nation, CCM was represented by at least 40 alumni performing on Broadway stages during the 2024-25 season according to Playbill's most recent coverage. CCM alumni performing on Broadway during 2025-26 include: Christopher Kelly (Chicago), Betsy Wolfe (Death Becomes Her), Samantha Pollino (Chess), Jenny Mollet (Ragtime), Kerry Conte (Ragtime), Maddie Mosley (Beetlejuice), Lexie Sharp (Beetlejuice), Connor Gallagher (Beetlejuice), Ryan Breslin (Beetlejuice), Jordan De Leon (Mamma Mia), Madison Deadman (Mamma Mia), Jeffrey Cornelius (Hadestown).
