Gas prices climb to an average of $4 per gallon

UC expert weighs in on pain at the pump

WLWT recently reported that the average price for a gallon of gasoline in the U.S. has hit $4 for the first time in four years.

Charles Sox, professor of operations management and business analytics at the Lindner College of Business, spoke to WLWT about the logistics behind oil and gas amid the conflict in Iran.

"What's different here is this is a major systemic disruption of the economy, of the supply of fuel and a huge, huge and quick spike in fuel prices," Sox told WLWT. "It not only affects what we're paying at the pump for gasoline, but also what companies pay for diesel fuel, which then impacts all of our transportation costs."
