Each year, the UC Alumni Association recognizes and celebrates the many contributions and overall excellence of UC alumni in countless fields of endeavor, throughout the world. Next year’s slate of honorees will be recognized during Alumni Week, April 12-17, 2027, at the UC Alumni Celebration. The UC Alumni Association is currently accepting nominations for its top awards through July 15.

April 14, 2026

The UC Alumni Association (UCAA) will host its annual Alumni Celebration during Alumni Week, April 13-18, with a community art project commemorating this year’s slate of alumni honorees receiving the organization’s top awards. Taking place April 16 at the First Financial Center (Cincinnati Convention Center), the Alumni Celebration will recognize the 18 honorees for their individual and collective innovation and impact, and the resulting impact on their university, communities, and fields of endeavor.

Three notable University of Cincinnati alumni have been named by the Cincinnati Regional Chamber to its 2026 class of “Great Living Cincinnatians.”

The University of Cincinnati Alumni Association has announced this year’s recipients of its highest honors for UC alumni. The 2026 honorees include: Vinod K. Dham, CEAS ’77; Thomas D. Cassady, A&S ’76, Hon ’19; Padma Chebrolu, CECH ’92; Ryan C. Marable, PharmD, Phar ’13. Each year, the UC Alumni Association (UCAA) honors a select few of its more than 360,000 alumni based on their career accomplishments and contributions to the university and community, recognizing them during Alumni Week festivities each spring.

They can take root when a relative steps in to facilitate a pairing that clearly is meant to be. Or, in a once-in-a-million stroke of luck, they can begin when someone says hello to “the girl next door.” As we celebrate Valentine’s Day, four alumni couples share their Bearcat love stories—personal tales of romance, devotion and continued engagement with UC.

Emma Scharfenberger Off, Law ’11, never saw the fork in the road until it was right in front of her. She was flourishing as a mergers and acquisitions attorney at Thompson Hine, one of the region’s largest law firms. She loved her work, loved her colleagues and — not yet 40 years old — had been named one of the top M&A lawyers in Ohio.
