Raj Mehta
Vice Provost for International Affairs & Director of UC Honors Program
Raj Mehta, Vice Provost for International Affairs, is responsible for the overall operation of UC International with oversight of UC’s study abroad, services to incoming international faculty and staff, and UC’s international strategic planning. Mehta represents the Office of the Provost to various international chambers of commerce and consulates, as well as to visiting delegations from across the globe. As a member of the Provost’s senior leadership team, he advances the Academic Master Plan Global Learning objectives, chairs the seven world Regional Strategy Groups, and leads UC delegations on visits to cultivate prospective international partners. Mehta also serves as director of the University Honors program since 2006, helping to recruit and retain the top 5-7 percent of undergraduate students.
An alumnus of the University of Utah, Mehta first came to UC in 1990 to join the marketing faculty. His current research is related to the influence of new technologies on the diffusion of new products and ideas, appearing in leading marketing journals including the Journal of Marketing, Journal of Consumer Research, and the Journal of Marketing Research.
