UC launches AI Enablement Community of Practice
University-wide partnership to advance AI innovation across the university
The University of Cincinnati's Digital Technology Solutions is launching the AI Enablement Community of Practice to advance AI innovation and application across the university and the broader community.
It consists of a core AI enablement team and four topical subcommittees focused on:
- Teaching, learning and research.
- Inclusion, ethics and community impact.
- Enablement and operations.
- And, AI policy & guidelines.
Representatives from the academic, research and administrative functions of the university will serve as members of each subcommittee.

- Research collaborations in AI.
- Generating opportunities for continued innovation through increased awareness and understanding of AI.

UC Digital Futures and Cincinnati Fire Museum launch educational video game

A new collaboration between the University of Cincinnati's Digital Performance Lab (DP Lab), CCM Acting, UC's School of Information Technology, and the Cincinnati Fire Museum is using gaming technology to bring essential fire safety education to children. The project titled Fire Escape is an interactive video game designed to teach K-12 students how to respond safely during a house fire. It was developed through Digital Futures research support, student game development, and guidance from local fire safety professionals.
