UC honors Armstrong protege with engineering alumni award

As a high school student in New Jersey, Ralph Spitzen joined a worldwide team of amateur astronomers to pinpoint the exact location of the moon. This work helped Neil Armstrong take humanity’s first step on the lunar surface. Spitzen later learned directly from Armstrong as an aerospace engineering student at the University of Cincinnati.

UC dean joins all Ohio engineering deans in support of ASEE policy statement

UC’s dean of the College of Engineering and Applied Science, John Weidner, joined the deans of each of the State of Ohio’s 16 engineering colleges to publicly support the “Policy Statement by the American Society of Engineering Education (ASEE) on the Implications of the Death of Mr. George Floyd.”
