CCM welcomes Maggie Perrino as Assistant Dean of Prep and Community Engagement
Perrino's appointment begins on June 30
UC College-Conservatory of Music Dean Pete Jutras recently announced the appointment of Maggie Perrino as the college's new Assistant Dean of CCM Prep and Community Engagement. In this role, Perrino will lead a team of faculty and administrative staff at CCM Prep, which offers a wide variety of programs in music, dance and the theatre arts throughout the year for people of all ages and abilities. She will also oversee CCM’s Summer Programs for youth, teens and adults. Perrino's appointment begins on June 30, 2025.
Perrino is an arts administrator, theatrical producer, director and choreographer from Cincinnati. Her past roles include Artistic Director for the Cincinnati School for Creative and Performing Arts and Managing Director of Theatre for The Carnegie in Northern Kentucky.
Perrino holds a master's degree in teaching theatre and a bachelor's degree in interdisciplinary studies focused on community arts programming. She is a current board member and strategic planning chair for Know Theatre of Cincinnati, a past President of The League of Cincinnati Theatres and a former Board of Trustees member for Saint Ursula Academy.
Perrino has been included in such lists as WCPO's "Next Nine: Arts and Entertainment" cohort in 2018, the Cincinnati Business Courier's "Forty under 40" list in 2021 and Movers and Makers' "Notable Arts Leaders" list in 2022. She is thankful to live in a vibrant, arts-invested region that allows her to do what she loves in her own hometown.
"Perrino has over 15 years of administrative experience in the Cincinnati arts scene," said Jutras. "She is active on the boards of local arts organizations and has presented at the Educational Theatre Association (EdTA) National Conference. Maggie notes that her lifelong love for the performing arts was sparked by her childhood years in CCM Prep dance classes. She brings a wealth of local connections and exciting ideas to the position, and we are excited to have her join the CCM family."
Jutras continued, "I am grateful to our search committee chair Meg Hensley and committee members Zhuo Ban, Kristin Jutras, Jessica Lucas and Samuel Stricklen for their efforts with this successful search. Please join me in thanking Anne Cushing-Reid for her valuable service in this role! Anne, congratulations on your well-deserved retirement!"
