Supplemental Instruction/Learning Assistant Graduate Assistant and HR Graduate Student Worker

Liz is a first-year graduate student in the College of Allied Health Sciences Doctorate of Audiology (AuD) program. She is a 2021 UC alum, graduating with her Bachelor of Science in Speech & Hearing Sciences. As an undergraduate student, Liz served as a Supplemental Instruction Leader and Mentor for three years. Liz supports the Supplemental Instruction and Learning Assistant programs as a graduate assistant by completing training materials, programmatic materials, and general assistance. She also assists with the Human Resources department as the Graduate Student Worker, where she reviews applications and documentation of new hires.

Assisting MASS Center and the Supplemental Review Session Program

Renee is a first-year graduate student in the College of Allied Health Sciences Master of Occupational Therapy program. She is a recent UC alum, graduating with the Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences this past April. During her undergraduate career, Renee serves as a MASS tutor, SRS Leader, and SRS Leader Coordinator within the MASS and SRS programs. During her time as a graduate assistant, Renee will support the Supplemental Review Session Program and MASS Center by accomplishing various administrative tasks, developing training and programmatic materials, and facilitating professional development opportunities for student workers.

Assisting First Year Experience

Sarah is a first-year graduate student in the College of Allied Health Sciences Masters of Arts Speech-Language Pathology program. She graduated from the University of Cincinnati in Spring of 2021 with a Bachelor of Science in Speech & Hearing Sciences. During her time in the program as an undergraduate, she served as a Peer Facilitator, Peer Leader, and Peer Facilitator Coordinator. Sarah assists the Peer Leader and Peer Facilitator programs with training materials, hiring, content for Learning Communities, and other administrative tasks.

Assisting First Year Experience

Tony is a first-year student in the College of Allied Health Sciences Doctor of Physical Therapy program. He recently graduated from the University of Cincinnati in the Spring of 2022 with a Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences degree and a minor in Nutrition Sciences. During his undergraduate career, Tony served as a Peer Leader and a Learning Assistant for the Learning Commons. Tony supports the First Year Experience program with training, observing Peer Leaders and Peer Facilitators, monitoring attendance, and general administrative tasks.

Assisting Peer Tutoring

Alexandra is a first-year graduate student in the College of Allied Health Sciences Doctorate of Audiology program. Alex graduated from Southern Illinois University - Edwardsville in 2022 with her Bachelor of Science in Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology. During her time at SIUE, she worked as a Peer Tutor for the university’s Speech Pathology and Audiology program. Now she works at UC as Graduate Assistant to support the Peer Tutoring program in the Learning Commons. Alex’s responsibilities include supporting collaboration and communication within the Peer Tutoring program, organizing Peer Tutor training, and general assistance for professional staff.
