Success Skills Workshop Positions

Primary Responsibilities

Success Skills Workshops are one-hour sessions that focus on skills students need to be successful in college (academic habits and metacognitive skills). Topics that are covered in the Success Skills Workshops include, but are not limited to: preparing for a successful semester, note taking, public speaking, how to work in groups, personal finance, and stress management.

The Success Skills Workshop Peer Educator’s role is to present and facilitate students through pre-built interactive presentations. Student group sizes range between 20-25 students per workshop. Success Skills Workshop Peer Educators (SSW PEs) may be required to facilitate the workshops in-person and/or virtually.

SSW PE schedules will be coordinated with the student’s curricular and extracurricular activities. Outside of the workshop schedule, staff must be available to meet once a month for staff meeting.
