The University of Cincinnati is committed to ensuring compliance with digital accessibility standards as required by the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Section 508, and other relevant federal, state and local laws. Our EIT Accessibility Policy outlines the responsibilities of each college and unit in ensuring the accessibility of their digital content, including websites, documents, and multimedia.

UC provides a range of training opportunities for faculty, students, and staff to ensure that they are equipped with the skills and knowledge necessary to create accessible content.

Accessibility Compliance Training

The EIT Accessibility Training is a mandatory training offered by the University of Cincinnati Accessibility Network to ensure that all faculty, staff, and student workers understand the legal requirements and best practices for creating accessible electronic and information technology (EIT) content. This training covers topics such as creating accessible documents, videos, and websites, as well as assistive technology and captioning. The training is required for all new employees and is recommended for all current employees who work with EIT

Level Access Academy

The Level Access On-Demand Training Academy is a comprehensive online platform that provides extensive training on digital accessibility, compliance, and design. The academy features a range of courses designed for different levels of expertise, from beginners to advanced users, and covers topics such as accessibility testing, user experience design, and accessibility laws and regulations. The courses are created and taught by experienced accessibility professionals and are continuously updated to reflect the latest developments in accessibility standards and technologies.
