Explore the classic italic hand that many love for its beautiful lines. The first four classes will focus on learning the letterforms and then students will work on creating their own greeting cards. You will learn how to control the angle of the edged pen as you write to create elegant letter forms and build a solid foundation on which to advance to other styles.
Supply List (Please purchase and bring to class):
- Straight barrel penholder in a style that you are comfortable with
- Speedball Pen nibs C-series, size 2, 3
- Ink
- Smooth white paper pad, lined or unlined
- Ruler
- Paper towels
About Your Instructor
Marlene Steele
Marlene is a professional studio artist with 30 years of experience in studio production. She lives and works in Cincinnati, where she creates beautifully rendered portraits and landscapes in pastel, watercolor, and oil.
