Welcome to the Adult Introduction to Swimming course, where safety is a top priority. This class is tailored for individuals who may have limited or no prior experience with water or swimming. Our primary focus will be on teaching fundamental swimming techniques and essential survival skills to ensure your safety in and around the water.

This course serves as a vital stepping stone towards future swimming lessons and is aimed at imparting both confidence and foundational skills. We believe that everyone should feel secure and at ease in aquatic environments, and this class will equip you with the necessary skills to achieve just that. Your safety is our utmost concern as we guide you through your swimming journey.

In this level, we'll work together to combine several basic skills and start moving towards developing full swimming strokes. To join this class, it's important to be able to float on your back and front and have some control over your breath while underwater. We'll start by practicing kicking and other ways to move in the water before we put all these skills together into complete swimming strokes.

At this level, participants will work on refining technique of several strokes including front crawl, back crawl, breaststroke, sidestroke, and elementary backstroke. Open turns, proper body position, and breathing techniques will be emphasized. Participants will be swimming the width of the pool (25 yards) as they work on their skills.

Group and Private youth Learn to Swim is available for swimmers of all levels. To find the class that best meets the needs of your swimmer - follow the information in the accordions below.
