About Us

The University of Cincinnati, founded in 1819, is a premier, public, urban research university located in the heart of Cincinnati, Ohio. The University boasts a student body of over 43,000 enrolled in over 370 programs of study and is the region’s largest employer with over 15,000 faculty, staff and student workers. UC embraces diversity and inclusion as core values and seeks to empower all members of the University community. UC is ranked as one of America's top 26 public research universities by the National Science Foundation and U.S. News has ranked UC in the Top Tier of America's Best Colleges.

The UC Investment Office manages approximately $1.4B of endowment assets in a diversified portfolio --including  traditional long-only equity and fixed income funds, private equity funds, diversified strategies, real estate funds, and separately managed accounts-- with the goal of balancing support across current and future generations of scholars and researchers.  Practically speaking, this means UC --with oversight from a qualified and highly-skilled Investment Committee--  seeks to provide substantial and self-sustaining funding to each endowment's target area while maintaining principal value so our endowments can continue to provide the same support for many decades into the future.
