University Honors Program Excellence in Teaching Award

The University Honors Program proudly presents Dr. Kristopher Holland with our Excellence in Teaching Award.

Dr. Kristopher Holland Professor of Art and Design Education and Fine Arts College of Design, Architecture, Art, & Planning

Dr. Holland is a Professor of Art and Design Education and Fine Arts in UC's College of Design, Architecture, Art, and Planning. He directs the Strange Tools Research Lab and the Master of Arts and Art Education program. His work bridges art, philosophy, and education, focusing on arts-based research, inquiry methodologies, and contemporary art. 

He has taught internationally at Karl Franzens University in Graz, Austria, and his conceptual artwork The Habermas Machine has been exhibited and cited in arts-based research scholarship. His recent work includes invited lextures at the School of Visual Arts and New York University, as well as the coauthored book Jean Baudrillard and Radical Education Theory

Dr. Holland's publications span leading journals in philosophy, art education, and social theory, and his work continues to inspire creative and critical thinking among emerging artists and educators.
