Environmental Literacy Certificate
Recognizing that environmental literacy is integral to the University of Cincinnati's mission of serving the world and enriching our global community, UC provides students the opportunity to earn an Environmental Literacy Certificate: a non-transcripted, co-curricular certificate for students of all majors looking to enhance their understanding of the environment & sustainability challenges.
The Environmental Literacy Certificate (ELC) curriculum allows students to earn a professional certificate from the University outside their academic field of study through the pursuit of engaged, self-directed learning. The program is unique as it requires students to get involved in sustainability-oriented activities on campus in order to complete most of its requirements.
