A little about me...
Working at the University of Cincinnati, coming from the faraway and mythical land of Kentucky daily. I grew up on the Kentucky side of the river here in the Cincinnati Area, leaving briefly to attend college in Bowling Green, KY at Western Kentucky University, graduating from their Honors program. Since graduating college, I’ve had the opportunity to work in the non-profit field, the sports administration and facility management field, and in higher education.
I currently advise Honors students in the College of Medicine. Before joining the University Honors Program here at UC, I spent seven years in the career and experiential education space during my time working in higher education. Everyday I am driven to help students find their path and gain the courage to pursue it. This involves getting to know my students at a level they are comfortable with and helping them break down the steps to reach their goals. One of my favorite sayings is “How do we eat an elephant? One bite at a time.”
Outside of my time here at UC, I can be found spending time with my wonderful girlfriend as we go on adventures both locally and abroad. We’re always on the hunt to try a new restaurant! I also love to host friends and family at home, usually weekly tabletop gaming sessions with friends as well as cooking group dinners when schedules permit.
Looking forward to connecting with all my advisees, please don’t hesitate to make an appointment to check-in or send me note if I can help with anything.
Ask me about...
- Whichever ambitious home improvement project I am liable to be working on
- The new recipe I tried (and hopefully succeeded in) cooking within the last week
- How to share and show off the amazing things you’re doing on resumes and in interviews
- How my recent Warhammer projects are going
- Resources I can get you connected with to reach your goals
- How my lifelong journey to becoming a Pokémon Master is going
