Notes

  1. Unless otherwise listed above, evening and Saturday class examinations are to be administered during the examination week at the regularly scheduled class time in the usual classroom.
  2. Asynchronous classes will have exams as determined by the instructor. Instructors should be prepared to offer make–up exams if a student has an exam conflict.
  3. Courses that have been approved for block examinations will have their exams Thursday–Tuesday (December 3–8) from 4:30–6:30 p.m. so as to minimize conflicts with other class examinations. Only courses in which all sections have agreed to participate in a common examination at a common time are eligible for block examination scheduling. If a conflict occurs between a regular exam and a block exam, the block exam must offer a make–up exam. If a student has a conflict with two block exams at the same time, the professors of the conflicting courses must offer a make–up exam.
  4. If a final examination—comprehensive or not—is part of a class requirements, it must be given only during the final examination week according to the schedule above. Final examinations administered earlier than the appointed time, either during the prior week or during the final examination week, are not permitted. The sole exception to this policy is defined in #3 below (i.e., block examinations). We ask for your complete cooperation by adhering strictly to this schedule for all class examinations. Appeals for any changes should be sent to the University Registrar.
  5. Examinations will be held in the regular classroom unless students are otherwise notified.
  6. Online Class Grading is available 24 hours a day.
  7. Any student having three examinations on one day can request postponement or reassignment of one of them provided it can be worked out with the instructor of one of the courses in question.
  8. The examination schedule does not apply to graduate and in–service classes that meet once a week, usually in the late afternoon (4:00 p.m. or later) and are largely attended by part–time students. Final examinations in these classes are to be given during the examination week during the regular class time and in the usual classroom.
  9. The examination schedule does not apply to half–session classes. Final examinations in these classes are to be given during the last class meeting at the regular class time and in the usual classroom.
