Thank you for your interest in applying to be a UHP Ambassador. UHP always strives to be student-centered, and UHP ambassadors are central to putting this value into practice. We depend on student leaders in our program to communicate to all across our community: prospective students, current students, staff, faculty and other partners. University Honors Ambassadors represent the program in a variety of instances: Admissions events, Bearcat Bound Orientation, Honors Council, Gateway to University Honors classes, various focus groups, and other opportunities throughout the year. UHP is looking for a diverse set of students committed to the program who are excited to share their experiences.
Fall semester requires much more participation than Spring, because that's when both first-year and transition admissions processes are underway. Ambassadors who are on co-op or study abroad during the year will be expected to participate in virtual initiatives and outreach. The ambassador team is small and your availability is important, so please make sure you have the time to commit to this organization before applying.
Your application, progress in experiences, and learning portfolio will be used to make selection decisions. To be an ambassador, you must demonstrate good progress through the program and maintain an exemplary portfolio because these are the experiences and tools you most rely on as an ambassador.
Applications for 2022-23 are now closed. Contact Jason for questions about ambassadors.
