UHP is for me because it has allowed me to be part of a network of scholars in different fields of study, learning about others' worldviews to learn about myself and my passions. UHP has allowed me to create a path of self discovery and reflection, encouraging me to try different experiences and reflect on them. My specific curiousity of pursuing research experiences prompted me to enroll in the RAMP preapproved experience, allowing me to find a mentor and explore medical research.

Don't be afraid to try things not directly related to your field of study. The point of all these resources are for you to go on a path of self discovery and find what you are truly passionate about.

The Globemed GROW (Grassroots Onsite Work Internship) experience.

UHP has impacted my future goals by allowing me to find what I like and dislike. I really like biomedical research, but I have learned for myself I am very passionate about the clinical rather than the basic side. I also found myself very passionate about improving healthcare outcomes in other countries. I hope to work in some kind of public health sector as a physician in the future.
