Global Humanitarianism, Design, and Professionalism

Description

This course aims to prepare students to be effective professionals for local or international careers by exploring their global/intercultural fluency. Students will explore/reflect on their global competencies skills and their readiness to be immersed in a multicultural and multinational virtual and face-to-face teamwork. These skills include: interpersonal and intrapersonal skills, leadership, problem solving, teamwork, sense of humanitarian values and the ability to develop strength through cultural diversity and to build collaborative relationships. A specific challenge faced by ethnic communities in the local region will be considered and students will work as team to design sustainable and adequate solutions. Students will engage with local ethnic communities and organizations to meet the goals of the course.

This course did not include a study tour in Spring 2019 due to low interest; the seminar was still offered.
