Global Research Labs

Through the Global Research Labs program, University of Cincinnati students can co-op in a research lab at a foreign university. The research assignment typically lasts four to eight months (one to two semesters).

The program is open to students in UC's College of Engineering and Applied Science.

Partner universities include:

  • Feng Chia University in Taichung City, Taiwan
  • Ming Chi University of Technology (MCUT), Taiwan
  • Taipei University of Science and Technology (Taipei Tech), Taipei City, Taiwan
  • University of the Basque Country in Bilbao, Spain
  • University of Lorraine Polytech in Nancy, France

Another French university and a university in Japan are expected to be added soon. Partner universities are subject to change.

To be considered for the program, a student must:

  • Be a student in UC's College of Engineering and Applied Science
  • Be in good standing with their home college
  • Have approval from their co-op advisor and/or academic advisor
  • Maintain a GPA of 2.8 or higher
  • Have a valid passport
