Research Mentor Training for Graduate Students

Graduate student reseachers who are interested in mentoring undergraduate students in the Grad-Undergrad Research Connections program are encouraged to complete Research Mentor Training for Graduate Students. You can take mentor training whether or not you intend to become a mentor.

In this 90-minute workshop, you will learn to:

• Understand the responsibilities of a research mentor and expectations of a mentee
• Recognize the qualities of a motivated mentee and develop strategies to effectively mentor them and maintain professional boundaries
• Develop practices that generate mutually supportive and mutually beneficial mentor-mentee research relationships
