Research Mentor Training
In this 90-minute workshop, participants engage in activities that lead to the following outcomes:
- Participants understand the responsibilities of a research mentor and expectations of their mentee.
- Participants recognize the qualities of a motivated mentee and develop strategies to effectively mentor them and maintain professional boundaries.
- Participants outline an Individual Research Development Plan (IRDP) that integrates goals that are achievable through your mentor-mentee relationship.
All workshops will be held in 731 Steger Student Life Center.
- Friday, March 29, 2019: 12-1:30 p.m.
All grad students in the Grad-Undergrad Research Connections program are welcome to attend Research Mentor Training whether or not you intend to mentor a student through a research project.
Unfortunately, we do not have a budget for food or refreshments. We can’t imagine a workshop without coffee, however, so we will figure out a way to provide that.
